What is SendAMeal.com?
SendAMeal.com is a nationwide meal delivery service offering chef-prepared meals, meal gifts, and complete dinners shipped directly to your door or your recipient’s address.
Do I need a subscription to order?
No subscription is required. You can order one-time meals, meal plans, or gifts as needed.
What types of meals do you offer?
We offer a wide range of options including comfort meals, holiday dinners, meal plans, diabetic-friendly meals, vegetarian dishes, soups, and desserts.
🚚 Shipping & Delivery
How long does delivery take?
Please note that ground shipments typically take 3-7 business days for delivery, excluding weekends, holidays, and the submission date. Our calendar is based on the ship date of an order. Standard orders placed after 9am EST on Wednesdays will not ship until the following week. Delivery dates may be impacted due to extreme weather conditions or high volume. We are currently unable to accept orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii due to shipping delays. Additionally, once an online order has been submitted, it cannot be altered or canceled for any reason. Please review your shipping address, gift recipient information, and selected ship date prior to placing an order. While we strive to deliver your meal on your requested date, please understand that ground shipments are estimates and not guaranteed. Keep an eye out for a follow-up email containing your tracking number and confirmed delivery date from the carrier. Our meals are prepared by chefs as soon as you place your order. This includes cooking, packaging, and freezing them for freshness.
Can I schedule a delivery for a specific date?
Yes, you can choose a preferred delivery date during checkout. We recommend ordering in advance to ensure availability.
Do you offer same-day delivery?
Gift Cards and Meal Vouchers are available for same day delivery, but some meals are available for expedited shipping. Visit our Quick Ship Meals page for options.
How are the meals shipped?
Meals are packed in insulated containers with dry ice to ensure freshness during transit. Shipping perishable foods is different from shipping other goods. It's a carefully choreographed event - our meals require special care to stay frozen from start to finish. That's why our shipments don't lounge around in FedEx or UPS facilities over the weekend; they're on a strict timetable to ensure they reach you at peak deliciousness. Meals are delivered right to your door in a reusable, Styrofoam cooler or insulated recyclable cardboard packaging, which has been specially engineered to ensure your meals arrive in excellent condition. We offer three different shipping options at checkout, whenever possible.
Do you ship to PO Boxes or internationally?
No, we ship within the continental U.S. only and cannot deliver to PO Boxes.
🎁 Gift Orders
Can I include a gift message?
Yes, you can enter a personalized gift message at checkout. The message is included with the meal delivery.
Do you offer physical gift cards?
Yes, we offer both digital and mailed physical gift cards. Physical cards can be requested by emailing: customerservice@sendameal.com.
Can I send a meal as a sympathy or get-well gift?
Absolutely. Many of our customers send meals for sympathy, recovery, new baby, and other thoughtful occasions.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Send a Meal gift cards.
My gift card isn’t working. What should I do?
Please contact customer service with the gift card number and issue, and we’ll help resolve it promptly.

How can I track my order?
You’ll receive an email with tracking info once your order ships. You can also check your order status through your account or contact support.
I need to change or cancel my order. Can I do that?
